In a few dates

A collective made up of a few boys who love singing creates the first gay male variety choir. Podium Paris is born and starts its first season with 30 singers.

In collaboration with the Gamme'elles, Podium Paris presents its first concert “Tels qu'on est”. Our festive and militant DNA is already evident, by participating in the music festival and joining the Pride March.

Fifty singers are now part of the adventure. “La difference”, a new production, is performed in front of 400 spectators. The day after the Pride March, we are organizing our first “Pride Concert” at the Jardin du Luxembourg. We receive for the occasion the Rainbow Chorus of Brighton, the first of a long tradition of international exchanges.

At the Trianon, Podium Paris participates in Voices against AIDS, invited by Les Caramels fous, Equivox and Melo'men, and establishes its reputation as the LGBTQI+ choir of Paris. The choir played that year “A few words of love”.

Podium Paris wins the 1st prize at the "There was a voice" festival in Mantes la Ville. The show “Happy together” is born. We participate in “Various Voices”, the European festival of LGBT choirs in London. At the Paris Pride March, Liza Minnelli joins us on the inter-LGBT float, and improvises a concert and a speech.

Podium Paris changes course and takes the turn of the musical. A group of choristers writes "Love is All", the first show with staging. We anchor our commitment to the fight against homophobia by becoming a partner of SOS homophobia.

The show “Nuit de Folie sur les rooftops de Paris” gives pride of place to choreography and staging. In Amsterdam, we are giving a concert on the occasion of Queen's Day. As part of a partnership with the city of Vanves which will last eight years, we co-animate the month of trade and we produce at the municipal theater.

“La plus belle pour aller danser” pays tribute to all women, and takes the public on a revival of the disco years. We participate in the France 3 program “300 choirs for more life”, sponsored by Bernadette Chirac, to accompany Dany Brillant and Lorie.

After passionate debates, Marriage for All becomes a reality in France. A historic moment for our choir, very committed to the subject. “Welcome on board” takes spectators on a cruise to the sound of the greatest hits from Podium Paris.

"Jungle Feever", a pastiche of reality TV, captures the spirit of the times and is a great success: 7 performances played in front of more than 1,000 spectators.

Podium Paris projects itself into a dreamlike universe in “Rendez-vous au Paradis”. The show is performed in Paris and then in Italy: invited by Komos, we are the guest of honor at the 1st festival of Italian LGBTQI+ choirs “Cromatica” organized in Bologna.

Podium Paris celebrates its 10th anniversary with pomp during a grand gala evening which brings its best creations to life. The story doesn't stop there, with an 11th production, “In the City”. We also organize our biggest Pride Concert by inviting 3 choirs: Doodles from Prague, Checcoro from Milan and Carmen Curlers from Copenhagen.

We cross Europe to perform in the Czech Republic, on the occasion of the Prague Rainbow Spring. “Beyond Appearances” is performed in French in Paris and in English in Prague. Podium Paris charters its own float to the Pride March, accompanied by Out Aloud from Sheffield.

Podium Paris organizes its 1st crowdfunding. Success is on the way. 2 new musicians join the association. "Born under a rainbow", the brand new production of Podium Paris is written for 4 male voices and 3 musicians. 150 costume pieces, 300 hours of rehearsal...

The creation of the year, “Mademoiselle”, is one of the biggest successes of Podium Paris, with more than 1,000 spectators over 6 performances. In the fall of 2020, the show won the Internet users' prize for the "Grand Concours Le Refuge 2020: Initiatives contre les LGBT-phobias".

“You make my head spin”, the show imagined for the season in the form of a romantic world tour, will never see the light of day, stopped by the pandemic. We remain mobilized and shoot the virtual clip "Stay confined to your home".

Podium Paris takes part in “Spring affair”, the first virtual festival of choirs organized by LEGATO Choirs with around fifty choirs from Europe and elsewhere, in a best-of of their productions.

Resumption of rehearsals and participation in the 15th edition of the Festival "There was a voice" in Mantes-la-Ville: Voted "People's favorite" among six choirs! New show "We are family" on stage on June 25, 26 and July 1, resumed on November 20 for two last performances.

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of marriage for all, Podium Paris sings at City Hall in the presence of Anne Hidalgo, Mayor of Paris and Stuart Milk, nephew of Harvey Milk. The choir participates in the Various Voices festival, in Bologna, Italy. An event bringing together 120 choirs and more than 5,000 choristers from all over Europe and beyond. The 2023 show “Au Temps Pour Toi” sold out during its 5 performances in Paris and Vanves.

An Olympic year for Podium Paris! The show "Olympe X Double Je(ux)", highlighting the homophobia that is still too present in sport, receives the "Cultural Olympiad" label of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Podium Paris performs as part of the Pride House of the 2024 Olympic Games.
